Discussion questions
How do organizational routines impact organizational adaptation?
Taking a routines perspective on organizational adaptation offers underutilized potential for contributing to theory of organizational adaptation by investigating mechanisms of organizational adaptation involving routines. For instance, how do teams adapt their routines by learning under different feedback conditions?
How do organizational routines shape organizations in enduring ways?
Organizational routines can shape organization structures, even in ways that endure over time. Many open questions remain, however. For instance, why do organizational routines influence some organizational features, rather than others? Under which conditions do organizational routines contribute to making organizational features enduring?
